Introduction: The purpose was to explain the lived experience of graduated at the University of Medical Sciences from the perspective of the international alumni.
Materials & Methods: A qualitative study was conducted. The research environment was Iran University of Medical Sciences. The interviews were analyzed by the content analysis. MAXQDA10 software was used to analyze the qualitative data.
Results: The content of the interviews was classified into two categories, twenty-one concepts and eighty-two codes. The two main categories are as follows: 1) the positive experiences (Seventy codes and thirteen concepts); and 2) the negative experiences (Twelve coded and eight concepts). The category of the positive experiences was classified in the fields of marketing, culture, communication, social, behavior, science, education, technology, finance, organization, research, welfare, and consequence. The category of the negative experiences was also classified in the fields of marketing, culture, communication, social, education, finance, organization, and welfare.
Conclusion: The effort to improve the lived experience of the international graduates is considered as one of the most important infrastructure elements of the internationalization of the medical sciences universities, the path of progress in the high levels of the global ranking and the competitive factor.
